On the 30th day of the 6th month, the four central duchies united and launched a military campaign against the Melein duchy. The duchies’ army attacked Messen Castle on the 23rd day of the 6th month. Duke Melein also died on Mount Leiffdema surrounded by enemies. Melein had been completely wiped out.
